Vehicle Spotlight

James K. Richardson

My name is James K. Richardson, and I am a member of the Any Make • Any Model car club. I own a 2016 Polaris SLINGSHOT OT Bike, and a 1953, M-37 Army ¾ Ton Tow Truck.

The M-37 was used as a troop or weapons carrier. The vehicle is equipped with a six-cylinder flat head engine manufactured by the Dodge motor company. The engine is only 75H.P. Its top speed is 50mph. The drive train is four-wheel drive, featuring a transmission with a range of four “high” speeds, and four “low” speeds. A large winch is mounted on the truck and used N.D.T. tires for all terrain use. This truck still has all of its military work lights.

The M-37’s were used during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Some are still in use today around the world. I drove a M-37 during my time in the military in Germany, Korea, and in the “States”.

I love my vehicle!
